- 10,000 baby boomers turn 65 every day through 2030.
- Facilities charge anywhere from $4,000 to $12,000 per person per month (or more, based on services).
- Based on stories from our residents’ families, licensed facilities are woefully understaffed…and are often focused on profit and statistics more than resident care.

Licensing (in Texas)
A facility is licensed
- Licensing happens in two parts: the people and the facility
- In Texas, licensing is required for four (4) or more beds (for non-familial residents)
- Facilities are licensed on several levels based on the types of care offered with considerations like overnight care, memory care, and self-evacuation capabilities of residents
A home doesn't have to be
- A personal care home has three (3) or fewer unrelated residents.
- A personal care home can be run with any experience or skill level.
- Many personal care homes that are not owned and operated by Elder Care Solutions Group graduates feel like small facilities – cold, sterile, and rife with neglect.
- Just because a home is not licensed doesn’t mean the quality of care has to be less!

We’re not legal experts…and we have some experience navigating the laws and regulations as they pertain to what Texas refers to as a personal care home. Most other states have similar laws, even if they call things differently. Here is a list of licensing guidelines for other states. tramelda training is the exclusive provider of a comprehensive, seven-module coaching program
designed to support entrepreneurial families in creating their own Personal Care Home.
The program consists of seven core modules, each with a video presentation, homework, and an hour-long, one-on-one coaching session. In addition to the seven core modules below, you’ll have access to more than six bonus modules, and hundreds of links to resources proven to work in actual homes.
